Large windows bring the landscape into the living areas, while the private shoreline, small beach and pier with swimming ladder make the lake easy to enjoy.
The house accommodates up to 10 guests across four bedrooms and additional sleeping space in the lounge. Renovated in 2022, it combines original 1970s character with modern comforts, including a well equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and fast WiFi.
Outside, guests can enjoy a wood-fired lakeside sauna, SUP boards, sun loungers, gas BBQ and space for outdoor games. Viitala is pet-friendly and well suited for families or small groups looking for privacy, comfort and direct access to nature.

Teijo National Park
Right next to the Teijo ironworks villages, this national park showcases diverse Finnish nature, from forests and mires to lakes and sea views. With 50 km of trails, including family-friendly and accessible routes, highlights include the Matildanjärvi loop (6,1km), the Lake Sahajärvi trail (8,8km) with its two manually-pulled ferries, and a welcoming Visitor Centre with maps, a café, and equipment rentals.
Mathilda Manor
Mathilda manor is a charming restaurant, cafe and bakery with a welcoming atmosphere, tasty, home-made sourdough bread and other delicacies. During Summer you are welcome to enjoy lunch or a freshly-baked pastry with a cup of coffee or tee in the beautifully curated garden. During the Summer season, the manor is also the location of frequent local festivals and other events.
Mathildedal
Mathildedal is a small ironworks village with a character all its own. It hums with artisan bakeries, alpacas, local design shops, and small cafés. The village's old industrial buildings have found new life, offering visitors a chance to slow down, explore, and experience a mix of history, nature, summer events, theatre, concerts and local creativity—all within walking distance.
