Location

Kemiönsaari

Kemiönsaari lies in Southwest Finland and forms part of the Finnish Archipelago, one of the country’s most beautiful coastal regions. The island combines forested landscapes, quiet bays, and small harbours that reflect the area’s maritime history. Around Gussarnäs, winding roads lead through open fields and pine forests to rocky shores and calm coves, offering a strong sense of connection to nature.

The area is ideal for exploring by car or bicycle. From the property, you can reach seaside villages such as Kasnäs and Dalsbruk, where you’ll find cafés, restaurants, and small marinas. Boat trips to nearby islands, like Rosala, Högsåra, and Bengtskär with its iconic lighthouse, offer easy day excursions.

For hiking, Teijo National Park on the mainland is about 40 minutes away, featuring marked trails, lakes, and sheltered picnic spots. Closer by, local nature trails and shoreline paths invite relaxed walks and access to swimming and boating opportunities.

Kemiönsaari balances accessibility with natural beauty: peaceful surroundings, welcoming villages, and the ever-present sea.

Visitors can explore a mix of rocky shores, pine forests, and traditional fishing villages, connected by boat routes and ferries. Popular destinations include Bengtskär Lighthouse, Rosala Viking Centre, and the islands of Högsåra, Örö, and Jurmo.
