Joiku - Kiruma is a newly opened holiday home in Äkäslompolo, designed for groups who want a comfortable Lapland base with proper space for everyone. Part of the Joiku II compound completed in 2025, the house sleeps up to 8 guests across four bedrooms and offers modern Nordic interiors, two bathrooms and a practical layout for year-round stays.

The open-plan living area brings the kitchen, dining and lounge spaces together, with a fireplace, smart TV and electric sauna adding comfort after days outdoors. Joiku Kiruma is a strong option for families, two families travelling together or small groups looking for a well-equipped home close to Ylläs.

With Ylläs Ski Resort, cross-country routes, village services and Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park nearby, Joiku Kiruma makes it easy to combine skiing, hiking, local restaurants and Lapland nature in one stay.

Guests have exclusive access to the estate, free Wi-Fi, and parking. Complimentary coffee and tea is provided to enjoy at any time of the day.

To support this, the property is equipped with noise monitoring devices that measure sound levels only. Your privacy is fully respected.

No parties: We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.

Pets: we love animals but unfortunately this property does not allow pets.

The winner of Finland´s Ski Resort of the 2024, Ylläs Ski Resort offers a variety of trails for visitors of any age and of any fitness level. The Ylläs fell is located between two villages, Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo, and the slopes run from the top to both directions.

Santa´s Village

While in Lapland, a trip to Santa’s Village in Rovaniemi is well worth the drive. It’s about two hours from Äkäslompolo and offers something for all ages: meeting Santa, crossing the Arctic Circle, and enjoying small cafés and local crafts. It’s especially memorable for families and makes a great day trip during the winter season.
