Santa´s Village
While in Lapland, a trip to Santa’s Village in Rovaniemi is well worth the drive. It’s about two hours from Äkäslompolo and offers something for all ages: meeting Santa, crossing the Arctic Circle, and enjoying small cafés and local crafts. It’s especially memorable for families and makes a great day trip during the winter season.

Ylläs Ski Resort
The winner of Finland´s Ski Resort of the 2024, Ylläs Ski Resort offers a variety of trails for visitors of any age and of any fitness level. The Ylläs fell is located between two villages, Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo, and the slopes run from the top to both directions.
