The open living area features high ceilings, wide windows, and an elegant fireplace that brings warmth to the space. Natural light fills the interior, while a terrace with a smokeless fire pit extends the living area outdoors, creating an inviting place to enjoy fresh air or quiet evenings beneath the northern sky.
The bedrooms are designed with flexibility and comfort in mind, complemented by soft linens and calm tones. A private sauna and modern bathroom provide an easy transition from activity to rest, while thoughtful details such as a workstation and warm storage make longer stays effortless.
Located just a short walk from Äkäslompolo’s shops, cafés, and ski trails, Joiku – Kero offers a comfortable base close to Ylläs Swing and the lakeside, where Lapland’s scenery can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Ylläs Ski Resort
The winner of Finland´s Ski Resort of the 2024, Ylläs Ski Resort offers a variety of trails for visitors of any age and of any fitness level. The Ylläs fell is located between two villages, Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo, and the slopes run from the top to both directions.
Santa´s Village
While in Lapland, a trip to Santa’s Village in Rovaniemi is well worth the drive. It’s about two hours from Äkäslompolo and offers something for all ages: meeting Santa, crossing the Arctic Circle, and enjoying small cafés and local crafts. It’s especially memorable for families and makes a great day trip during the winter season.
