In-house housekeeping arrived in Lapland

Stay North has expanded housekeeping operations to Lapland, with an in-house team working in Ylläs and Levi since November 2025. This strengthens on-site care for owners through quicker checks, clearer communication, and better preventive maintenance in demanding northern conditions. For guests, it ensures consistently prepared homes and faster support throughout the stay. It also supports the growing demand from companies booking off-sites, board meetings, and executive team stays, where smooth logistics and reliable standards are especially important.

Stay North has grown steadily across Finland over the past years, and Lapland has become an increasingly important part of that story. In recent years, the North has also been one of the fastest-growing destinations in the Nordics, attracting visitors not only for winter skiing but for year-round time in nature. As more guests travel north in every season and more owners look for reliable hosting in the region, a strong local presence matters more than ever.

Since November 2025, Stay North’s own housekeeping team has been working in Ylläs and Levi. This step strengthens our ability to care for the homes we manage on site and to keep standards consistent through changing seasons. Demand for high-quality, well-managed homes has grown quickly in Lapland, especially among travellers who value privacy, comfort, and local expertise. For us, building a hands-on team was a natural next step.

What this means for owners

For property owners in Lapland, dependable care is one of the most valuable parts of professional hosting. Weather conditions change fast, travel distances are long, and winter places high demands on both homes and operations. Having our own team nearby allows everyday details to be handled quickly and properly, without relying on long chains of external partners.

A local in-house team also means

  • more frequent checks between stays
  • clearer communication about what the property needs and when
  • better preventive care during heavy seasonal use
  • faster responses if something unexpected comes up

In practice, this supports long-term value. A well-kept home performs better, stays in good condition, and continues to feel welcoming to guests year after year.

What this means for guests

For guests, housekeeping is often the steady foundation of a good stay. It shows in the first impression when the door opens, in the small details that make a place feel ready, and in the confidence that everything works as expected.

With our own team in Ylläs and Levi, guests benefit from

  • reliably prepared homes, even during peak winter weeks
  • consistent cleanliness and presentation across all stays
  • faster help if something needs attention during the visit
  • staff who know each property personally and notice small changes quickly

Lapland homes are often used in demanding conditions, with snow, moisture, and outdoor gear coming in and out daily. Local housekeeping helps each home be reset thoughtfully with those realities in mind.

Supporting corporate stays in the North

Lapland has also become an increasingly attractive destination for companies arranging off-sites, board meetings, and executive team stays. Our larger, well-equipped homes provide privacy, a focused setting for work sessions, and inspiring surroundings for stepping outside the agenda. Having our own local housekeeping team ensures these stays run smoothly too, even with tight schedules or special requirements.

A stronger northern presence

This expansion is not only about staffing. It is part of a wider commitment to build long-term operations in Lapland that match the level of care we aim for everywhere in Finland. Local knowledge, familiar faces, and hands-on work make a real difference in keeping quality steady across seasons.

We are excited and confident about this growth. Our aim is, as always, to bring excellent service, care, and reliability for home owners as well as for guests.

Warm wishes from all of us in the south and in Lapland.
